The Red Bull team officially announced on Monday the appointment of Gwen Lagrue as director of its Red Bull Junior Programme, confirming transfer rumors. The Frenchman will officially join the team’s management in 2027 and will report directly to the CEO and Team Principal, Laurent Mekies.
The recruitment is far from trivial. After eleven seasons spent at Mercedes, Gwen Lagrue is considered one of the references in Formula 1 for spotting and developing young drivers. He will now be tasked with overseeing the identification, training, and progression of the next generation of Red Bull drivers.
