The Briton attributes this progress to a multitude of technical and organizational changes implemented since his arrival in Maranello.
For Hamilton, Ferrari’s progress cannot be attributed to a single evolution.
Completing the puzzle
They are rather the result of a much broader work done on the car and in the way the team operates: “It’s a combination of many things. I think we have made a lot of changes to the car. So it’s not just one thing, but all the pieces of the puzzle.”
The seven-time world champion explains that Ferrari has reviewed many elements since his arrival, both in engineering and in internal processes and car design: “We have moved a lot of things and made a lot of changes, whether in engineering, processes, or the design of the car, which is obviously quite different with this new generation.”
Since his arrival in Maranello, Hamilton has regularly emphasized the need to adapt certain aspects of the car and Ferrari’s operation.
Requests gradually integrated
Not all his requests could be met immediately, but the Briton believes that their gradual implementation is now paying off: ” Collectively, we have moved in the right direction and the things I had asked for have ended up being realized over time. Now that we have also achieved results, it shows that it works and I feel that we have found the right formula.”

This evolution strengthens Hamilton’s confidence in Ferrari’s ability to continue its progress. The goal is no longer to deeply change the direction taken, but to perfect a foundation that seems to work.
Hamilton also wants to see Ferrari regain its status as an innovator in Formula 1. The Briton notably emphasized last year the need for the Scuderia to offer solutions that its rivals would then seek to replicate, rather than follow trends imposed by other teams.
Ferrari must become a technical benchmark again
Some recent developments, notably around rear wings and exhaust systems, go in this direction according to him: ” Now, we will insist even more on this path and continue to progress. Last year, one of the things I said was that Ferrari had to become the team that innovates and that everyone had to try to follow.”
This philosophy should allow the Scuderia to continue reducing its weaknesses while developing its own technical advantages. Hamilton considers in any case that Ferrari now has a much stronger foundation to achieve its ambitions: “I think we are really in an excellent position. We just need to keep building on the foundations we have established. “
After a significant period of adaptation and transformation, Hamilton is therefore particularly optimistic. Ferrari seems to have found a technical and organizational direction that suits it, and the Briton believes the priority is to continue on this trajectory to turn these advances into a real fight for world titles.
