The Qiddiya Speed Park Track, whose construction began in 2024, is intended to join the F1 calendar as early as 2028. This ambitious project, funded by the Saudi government, aims to make Qiddiya an essential destination for motorsport, gradually succeeding Jeddah, which has hosted the Grand Prix since 2021.
Designed by Hermann Tilke and Alexander Wurz, the layout will include 21 corners and will become the longest circuit on the F1 calendar, dethroning Spa-Francorchamps. The total cost of the operation is estimated at 480 million dollars.
The Blade: a dizzying corner
The first corner, named The Blade, already stands out as the centerpiece of the circuit. Located above a concert hall, it will rise to more than 70 meters (the equivalent of 20 floors) with a 10-degree incline. This unprecedented profile in F1 promises a unique challenge for drivers, blending speed and technique on an extraordinary structure.

Recent photos of the construction reveal the impressive progress of this section, offering a concrete glimpse of the complexity of the work and its integration into the Qiddiya urban landscape.
A hotel section already visible
In addition to The Blade, aerial images also show the Hotel Section, a narrow and winding passage between hotel complexes. This portion of the track will certainly be a test of precision for drivers, with tight corners and a demanding rhythm for car management.
With these first glimpses, the Qiddiya circuit already promises to be one of the most spectacular on the future F1 calendar, blending bold architecture and unprecedented technical challenges for drivers. The world of Formula 1 is now waiting to see how this atypical layout will perform in real racing conditions.
