The 2025-2026 Formula E season is about to reach its conclusion in London: for the final appearance of the GEN3, nine drivers can still mathematically clinch the world title, with Jake Dennis, Mitch Evans, and Pascal Wehrlein separated by only five points before the last two races.

After fifteen particularly competitive rounds, it is impossible to identify a true favorite. With 146 points, Jake Dennis (Andretti) arrives in London leading the championship, but the Briton holds only a two-point lead over Mitch Evans (Jaguar) and five over Pascal Wehrlein (Porsche).
Recent momentum, however, favors the Andretti driver. Dennis has had an excellent second half of the season, notably marked by his victories in São Paulo and Sanya. In Tokyo, two more podiums and a pole position allowed him to retake the championship lead at the best moment.
Evans dreams of a title for his farewell to Jaguar
Second with 144 points, Mitch Evans may have his best chance yet to finally become world champion. The New Zealander has won two races this season, in Miami and Berlin, and has also stood out with several podiums. The stakes are even more special as London will mark his last races under Jaguar colors. Securing the world title would be the perfect conclusion to his long history with the British manufacturer.
Pascal Wehrlein is also perfectly placed. With 141 points, the Porsche driver is only five points behind Dennis. Despite a more inconsistent season, his victories in Jeddah and Shanghai allow him to approach this finale with genuine ambitions.
Defending champion Oliver Rowland also remains a serious threat. Fourth with 132 points, just 14 behind Dennis, the Nissan driver can still retain his crown. His great strength this season has been his consistency, with six podiums, but he will probably need to find the way to victory again in London.
Six other drivers still mathematically in contention
Behind the four main contenders, the scenarios become much more complicated. Fifth with 116 points, Edoardo Mortara is 30 points behind. The Mahindra driver has not yet won this season, but his podiums in Mexico and Jeddah keep him in the race.

António Félix da Costa, with 113 points, will also need to have an almost perfect weekend. The Portuguese driver nevertheless has two wins this season, achieved in Jeddah and Madrid. The situation is even more delicate for Nick Cassidy. Having had an excellent start with Citroën and notably winning in Mexico, the New Zealander has 104 points and is now 42 points behind Dennis.
With 102 points, Nico Müller must make up a deficit of 44 points. His first Formula E victory, achieved in Berlin, still allows him a slim mathematical hope. Finally, Nyck de Vries rounds out the field with 94 points. The Dutchman is 52 points behind Dennis, but his two wins in Monaco and Tokyo still allow him, on paper, to dream of the title.
GEN3 last
In fact, the top three obviously approach London with a considerable advantage. But with two races still to be contested and a championship where turnarounds are frequent, nothing is decided.
This London finale will also mark the farewell of the GEN3 generation, before the arrival of the new regulations, and the electric retirements of some veterans of the championship including the first champions Lucas di Grassi, Sébastien Buemi, and Jean-Eric Vergne.
With nine mathematical contenders and three drivers separated by only five points, Formula E could hardly dream of a more spectacular scenario to conclude this era before the promising GEN4 enters the scene in a few months. The starts of the two E-Prix of the weekend will be at 4 p.m., to be followed live on the channel L’Equipe TV or on Eurosport.
