Red Bull was fined 400 euros after Isack Hadjar sped in the pit lane during the first free practice session of the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The FIA has fined 400 euros to Red Bull after an incident during the first free practice session of the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Isack Hadjar was clocked at 83.8 km/h in the pit lane, which is 3.8 km/h above the authorized limit of 80 km/h.
In accordance with the scale provided by the sporting regulations, the stewards decided to sanction the Austrian team with a simple financial fine.
A successful session for Hadjar nonetheless
This incident did not prevent the Frenchman from delivering a solid performance.
Hadjar set the fourth fastest time of the session, 922 thousandths behind Charles Leclerc, who set the benchmark in his Ferrari.
The 21-year-old driver thus continues the momentum of his excellent Belgian Grand Prix, where he climbed from the back of the grid to sixth place.
At the end of that race, his team principal Laurent Mekies even described this performance as Hadjar’s best race since joining Red Bull at the start of the 2026 season.
Verstappen also summoned
Hadjar was not the only Red Bull driver to attract the attention of the stewards on Friday.

His teammate Max Verstappen was also summoned after free practice.
The Dutchman was annoyed after being hindered by an Audi of Carlos Sainz approaching turn 12.
According to the stewards, Verstappen then deliberately drove slowly out of the corner, in turn slowing down Sainz and Gabriel Bortoleto.
Carlos Sainz was also summoned, notably for another incident involving Alpine reserve driver Paul Aron.
A great first season at Red Bull
Despite this small sanction with no sporting consequences, Hadjar continues to have a convincing first season with the Austrian team.
Before the Hungarian Grand Prix, the Franco-Algerian occupies eighth place in the world championship, just behind Max Verstappen.
His best result remains a fourth place obtained in Monaco, after initially crossing the finish line on the podium before being demoted following an accepted complaint from Alpine concerning Pierre Gasly.
