Lewis Hamilton has no intention of dwelling on his difficult Belgian Grand Prix. Despite a weekend marked by several incidents, the Ferrari driver is already looking towards Hungary with a clear ambition : to return to victory.
The Briton has a special connection with the Hungaroring, where he holds the absolute record for success with eight victories.
A stated goal: to win
Hamilton believes that Ferrari now has the tools to play a leading role.
After the progress shown in recent weeks, he hopes that the Scuderia will be able to fight at the front from this weekend.
“I hope we will be competitive.”
The seven-time world champion insists on one point, however: he will have to raise his own level after the difficulties encountered at Spa-Francorchamps.
“First and foremost, I need to be on form next week and make sure I drive as I know how to in Budapest.”
His goal is then very clear.
“We must come to fight for victory.”
Ferrari is making progress in all areas
Despite the frustration of the Belgian weekend, Hamilton believes that Ferrari continues its rise to power.

The Briton particularly praises the progress made by the team in its management of Grand Prix races.
“It’s really very encouraging. The team is making excellent strategic decisions.”
According to him, the Scuderia has turned a corner in its overall operation.
“We have made enormous progress in how we manage race weekends.”
Spa still leaves reasons for hope
Hamilton remains convinced that Ferrari had the pace to aim for victory in Belgium before several incidents compromised his result.
“At Spa, we had the pace to win.”
After his collision with George Russell, his five-second penalty, and the damage sustained to his car, the Briton prefers to focus on the points scored.
“Given everything that happened, I am very grateful to have still brought home significant points.”
Buoyed by this progress and his impressive history at the Hungaroring, Hamilton now hopes to quickly turn the page on Spa and go for a ninth victory at the Hungarian circuit, where he remains the most successful driver in history.
