Images from the Italian site Autoracer and the @brakeboosted account today allow for a detailed analysis of the evolution of the “Macarena” rear wing, an inverted profile concept developed by Ferrari since the start of the season.
The comparison between the two specifications highlights several structural modifications, identified directly in the image below:
- The radius of curvature of the wingtips (RWEP) has been revised, suggesting work on vortex structure management.
- The support pylons have been reprofiled, an evolution that would be imposed by the constraints of this new version.
- An extension of the central span of the upper flap (SLM) is visible, although its precise role cannot be established with certainty at this stage.
- The activation mechanism mounted on the endplates has been realigned.
- The separators between the main plane and the second element have been removed.
All these changes confirm a targeted but coherent evolution of the “Macarena” concept, with work on both the aerodynamic structure and mechanical integration.

Evolutions difficult to confirm on the rest of the car
Other modifications would be part of the package introduced in Monza, but they remain difficult to discern in the available images.
The areas of the floor, floor edge, and front wing show possible variations, without it being possible to confirm major changes at this stage.
These evolutions therefore appear, for now, secondary compared to the work done on the rear wing.

Monza, first validation before Miami
This wing was spotted during the filming day organized in Monza, where Ferrari utilized the allowed 200 kilometers with Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
Although limited by regulations — notably prohibiting any direct comparison between configurations — this run allowed for the validation of the package’s overall behavior in real conditions.
Ferrari’s key package in a new regulatory context
This first track outing comes in a context marked by the introduction of new FIA rules on hybrid energy management.
Ferrari took advantage of Monza’s characteristics to collect essential data, both on aerodynamic efficiency and energy management.
The information gathered must now feed into the simulation work in Maranello in preparation for the Miami Grand Prix, where this package will be fully deployed.
