Dutch GP F1 2026: What time does the race start in Zandvoort?

Formula 1 continues its weekend at Zandvoort with the Dutch Grand Prix, which will start this Sunday, August 23 at 3:00 PM, Belgium and France time.

The drivers will have to complete 72 laps of the Dutch circuit for this last edition of the Dutch Grand Prix before it disappears from the Formula 1 calendar.

After the Sprint won on Saturday by George Russell ahead of Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris, the cards were reshuffled during qualifying a few hours later.

Norris on pole, Verstappen only seventh

Lando Norris secured pole position with a time of 1’11″163. The McLaren driver edged out George Russell by only 0″102, while the championship leader Kimi Antonelli will start from third place.

Oscar Piastri will occupy fourth position ahead of the two Ferrari of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc.

The Dutch public will have to hope for a comeback from Max Verstappen. Struggling with the balance of his Red Bull since the start of the weekend, the four-time world champion only managed seventh place on the grid. He will share the fourth row with his teammate Liam Lawson.

The start could therefore prove crucial on a circuit where overtaking is not always easy.

What time to follow the Dutch GP?

The start of the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix will be at 3:00 PM this Sunday, August 23 at Zandvoort.

The race promises to be particularly open between McLaren and Mercedes, while Ferrari will try to get involved in the fight after the nice second place obtained by Leclerc during the Sprint.

For Verstappen, the goal will be quite different: to climb up from seventh position and deliver a memorable last performance to his fans before Zandvoort leaves the calendar.
