Qualifying at Spa-Francorchamps was marked by several penalties, significantly altering the starting grid of the Belgian Grand Prix. Here is the updated ranking before the race start.

Kimi Antonelli will once again start from pole position after dominating the Belgian Grand Prix qualifying. The Mercedes driver posted an impressive time of 1’44″361, relegating Max Verstappen by more than three tenths.
While the front row remains unchanged, several penalties imposed after qualifying have deeply reshaped the rest of the grid. Several drivers who changed elements of their power unit will have to move back, giving their rivals position gains even before the lights go out.
Norris drops ten places
Third in qualifying, Lando Norris will not be able to enjoy his strong performance. The McLaren driver receives a ten-place grid penalty after exceeding the allowed quota of engine components.
The Briton thus slips from third to thirteenth position. This drop directly benefits George Russell, who moves up to third on the grid, while Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton also gain a place and will start fourth and fifth respectively.

Oscar Piastri also climbs one position and will start from sixth place.
Hadjar and Alonso condemned to the back of the grid
The heaviest penalty concerns Isack Hadjar. The Red Bull driver, who had reached Q3 before serving Max Verstappen by providing a decisive slipstream, will ultimately start from the penultimate position after several engine component changes.
Fernando Alonso also receives an identical penalty and will start last on the grid with his Aston Martin.
Meanwhile, Lance Stroll receives a ten-place penalty. However, after the penalties given to Hadjar and Alonso, the Canadian still moves up to 20th place.
