After a complicated 2025 season, Lewis Hamilton seems to have found new energy at Ferrari. More smiling, more combative, the seven-time world champion displays a face radically opposite to the one observed just a few months ago.
Last year, his debut with the Scuderia had been marked by doubt and frustration. The Briton did not hesitate to question his own level, letting through an unusual loss of confidence for a driver of his caliber.
But at the start of the 2026 season, the dynamic is completely different. His first podium with Ferrari in China confirmed this renewal, both on the sporting and mental level.
“I no longer let the noise get to me”
When asked about this change, Hamilton insists: it is not a relief, but a real shift in the way he approaches his profession.
“I don’t consider it as a relief. It’s simply a change of attitude” he explains.
From now on, the Briton claims to have protected himself from external noise, often omnipresent in Formula 1: “I no longer let all this nonsense surrounding this sport and what people say interfere with what I know about myself and my abilities.”
A strong message that testifies to a clear willingness: to regain control of his narrative and focus solely on performance.
“I haven’t lost anything I had. And no matter what some may say, I will continue to prove it on track” he adds with determination.
An even more intense work discipline
This new mindset is accompanied by impressive physical commitment. At 41 years old, Hamilton is redoubling his efforts to stay at the top against ever younger competition.

“I train harder than ever” he says, mentioning in particular intense preparation between races, with nearly 100 kilometers of running accumulated in Tokyo.
Aware of the demands of his age, he also places increased importance on recovery, a key element to maintain his level of performance throughout the season.
But far from suffering from this constraint, Hamilton sees it as an additional source of motivation: “I still love pushing myself to the limit.”
A mentality focused on a clear objective
Beyond physical preparation, it is above all the determination of the Briton that impresses. Hamilton claims to devote all his energy to a specific objective: bring Ferrari back to the top and secure an eighth world title.
In a revealing anecdote, he compares his involvement to that of his rivals: “I had already finished my training when other drivers were just arriving to start their day.”
A detail that says a lot about his level of demand and his total commitment.
Hamilton, more dangerous than ever?
With a recovered mindset and impeccable physical preparation, Lewis Hamilton seems ready to become a major player in the fight at the top.
His message is clear: criticism no longer reaches him, and his motivation is intact. Under these conditions, his opponents could well face an even more formidable version of the Briton.
The 2026 season could well mark the return to the forefront of a champion who categorically refuses to write the final chapter of his career.
