As the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix approaches, Lewis Hamilton shared an unexpected anecdote during a fan event organized at the Albert Park circuit.
The seven-time world champion mentioned one of his animals… a cow named “Max”. A revelation that immediately triggered laughter in the crowd, with many seeing it as a nod to four-time world champion Max Verstappen.
Faced with the amused reactions of the public, the British driver nevertheless wanted to clarify the situation. According to him, this name has absolutely no link with his rival on track. The story is in reality much simpler: the cow already had that name when he adopted it.
“I didn’t name him Max”
On stage, Hamilton told this anecdote with humor while discovering a photo of the animal displayed behind him. The driver immediately wanted to justify himself to the fans, visibly amused by the coincidence.
“Oh yes, that’s my cow. His name is Max. I didn’t name him that,” he explained with a smile.
The Briton insisted on this point, aware that the joke was easy to make in the world of Formula 1: “I inherited him like that, okay? His name is Max. I swear on my life, I swear.”
Hamilton then detailed how he became the owner of this animal: “I have a sort of… farm, and I kind of adopted him. And his name was already Max.”
The driver also owns a second cow called “Hombre”, also adopted under the same circumstances.

A new chapter after the passing of Roscoe
