Lewis Hamilton approaches the Monaco Grand Prix with ambition, even if he will have to start from third position. The Briton once again demonstrated solid pace throughout the weekend, without however managing to convert it in qualifying against an Kimi Antonelli imperial and a Max Verstappen always formidable in the exercise.
The Ferrari driver failed by a few tenths of a pole, a gap sufficient to relegate him to the second row. In the narrow streets of the Principality, this starting position greatly complicates his chances of victory, especially against two rivals directly in front of him on the grid.
A difficult race scenario to overturn
Aware of Monaco’s specificities, Hamilton knows that overtaking opportunities will be extremely limited. The Monegasque circuit remains one of the most static tracks on the calendar, where positions rarely change on track and where strategy often plays a central role.
In this context, the seven-time world champion believes that a perfect start will be essential to hope to stay in the game. He also recognizes that unforeseen conditions, such as rain, could completely upset the hierarchy.
Despite the obstacles, Lewis Hamilton refuses to give up. The Briton adopts a deliberately offensive discourse, convinced that anything can still happen in a race as unpredictable as Monaco.
“We know how these races unfold. It’s very difficult, there are almost no overtakes” he explained, aware of the challenge that awaits him.

He nevertheless adds a note of hope and determination: “It would probably take rain, but nothing is impossible. I will continue to put pressure.”
Betting on the start and constant pressure
Hamilton knows that his main leverage will be played out from the very first meters. With an excellent car at the start, Ferrari could allow him to put pressure on the two drivers in front of him and attempt a strategic move from the beginning of the race.
Beyond that, the Briton envisions an aggressive race in pace management, ready to force his opponents into mistakes in an environment where the slightest error can be very costly.
“I’m going to give it my all and try to push them to the maximum, to put them under pressure in every possible corner” he concluded.
In Monaco, where everything seems set on paper, Hamilton still hopes to write an unexpected scenario.
