Considered one of Ferrari’s great hopes, Oliver Bearman continues to build his Formula 1 career with Haas. The Briton, a member of the Scuderia’s program for several years, does not hide that his ultimate goal remains a red seat at Maranello.

However, the 21-year-old driver refuses to put unnecessary pressure on himself regarding his future and prefers to focus on his current progress.

“For me, obviously, I am under contract with Ferrari. They have trusted me from the start, so it is natural that my ultimate goal is to drive for them” Bearman explained.

The Briton nevertheless insists that he is not looking to rush things.

“For now, the goal is to continue building with Haas. I am really very satisfied with the trajectory we are following. So no specific timeline, no problem” he added.

A 2026 hierarchy already scrutinized by the paddock

After five rounds contested this season, the first trends are beginning to emerge in the grid hierarchy. Mercedes seems to have gained a significant advantage, while Ferrari, Red Bull and McLaren remain lurking.

With the huge regulatory changes introduced this year, both on engines and aerodynamics, several drivers are now waiting to see which teams will best master this new generation of cars before making a decision about their future.

Bearman believes that this situation could indeed cause a particularly busy transfer market in the coming months.

“I think the end of this year will be important because many drivers are reaching the end of their contracts” he said.

The driver market could quickly heat up

According to the Haas driver, many competitors will closely watch the performance developments before choosing their destination for 2027.

“Everyone wanted to see what the hierarchy would be in 2026, and that will then determine what 2027 will look like” he continued Bearman.

This still fragile stability could open the door to several major transfers, especially if some teams quickly confirm their technical advantage under the new regulations.

Ferrari still at the center of attention

Even though Bearman remains cautious, his name regularly comes up among potential future Ferrari drivers. The Scuderia continues to invest in him long-term and closely monitors his development at Haas.

In a context where several important contracts will soon expire, the 2026 performances could therefore play a decisive role in the major decisions of the driver market for the coming seasons.
